| With rain forecasted all day on Sunday, Saturday the 30th was the last opportunity to get one more session at the park in 2006. Even then,
rain was forecasted to arrive sometime Saturday with most guesses being around 3:00 pm. I woke up to a very overcast day and wondered if we would even
make it till 3pm before the rain came down. I quickly grabbed lunch and got to the park around 1:00. I wasn't sure if anyone else would even
make it out (we had a good session on Friday too). Luckily, John Waight soon arrived after me. Kerry Johnson and young Robbie followed soon after and
around 2-ish, Tim Spinosi brought up the rear. Along with our regular crew, we had about 3-4 local kids join us throughout the day. For those that didn't
make it out...tough breaks...you missed a helluva fun session! Laid back, fun, lotsa joking around, and big tricks being attempted and made. Turns out, we even
lucked up and the rain never came at all (*rained later that night). Great end to a great first year at the skate park! |
