Ramp Move - March 20,2011 |
Spent roughly 10hrs on this Sunday tearing down this ramp in Liberty Park and moving the usable pieces to Jay's house. The work crew
consisted of Peter Karvonen, Patrick Jackson, Andy Birdwell, Chris Solomon and Jay Salillas. None of it was all that fun but the very worst
was moving the sheets of steel...each weighing about 160 pounds. The layer of the ramp was so rotted in most places that it fell apart in your hands.
Several of the screws were rusted out or stripped which required additional work taking each one out. What seemed an easy move turned out to be a
long and exhausting day. Started at 10:30 am and finished roughly 8:30 at night. Cold beers followed. |
