Another weekend packed full of skating! It started with a few of us met up at Alabaster for a little bowl session. Kerry Johnson and I were the early ones. Kerry was breaking in a whole
new set-up. I had brought a few decks for the kids at the park, but made sure they weren't going to get them easy. I told Jason he had to FINALLY drop in the deep end for
a deck. It didn't happen. I told Scott he could get one if he got his axle stalls in the deep. He would axle in from the deep straight away but getting into the stall was
giving him problems. It's that last little bit of the turn to bring the front truck around on coping, you know. He came soooo close. I bet next time I am there, he gets the deck! About the
time we were heading out to the ditch to skate, Mark Eddings showed up. He was in full on bowl mode and had no interest in coming along to the ditch. We stayed a while to
catch up and skate with Eddings before heading off. Kerry and I joined a crew and session already in progress at the Train Station. We got there to find that they were
not only skating but had also cleared out the whole top end and about 20 feet of new section running down. More to skate! Stoked! Spinosi and Barry also showed up, so
we had about 9 people skating the ditch. Yes, 9 people skating a ditch! haha It was a blast. As usual, we stayed till about dark. By then, we had put in a lot of skate
time this weekend, and it was time for the old men to get home and rest. |
