| On Sunday Oct. 28th 2006, Veterans Skate Park in Alabaster was the site for the second annual Halloween Bash skate session. Once again, the idea was to dress in
costume, come out and skate and have a good time at the park all day. Since Ride Skate Shop had closed and left the park, I did not think we had as much of a chance to spread
the word. Other than some fliers sent in emails and posted around on MySpace, it was all word of mouth. However, this year's turnout seemed even better than last year! I got there around 2pm as the event was suppose to kick off and the park was already going
pretty well. Even the city guy, Dennis, who works the door now was impressed at the showing so early in the day (and he said Saturday was a big day too!). I found Sig and his friend Roy already at the bowl when I walked up.
As for the event, there was not much planned other than skating and seeing who showed up in costume. Team Ping and ArtofSkateboarding.com flipped the bill for a bunch of free pizzas and soft drinks
for the kids which showed up promptly at 3:30 and was quickly devoured. The rest of the day was just spent hanging out, skating and catching up with friends. Another great
